Sylus brings MC to Philip — owner of the Odd Workshop in N109, who has a connection to MC's grandmother Josephine and runs an Evol Linkage Alteration project. Philip's analysis reveals that MC's Evol is suppressed because she is subconsciously rejecting or fearing Sylus. More critically: Philip is the source that exonerates Sylus and Onychinus from the Bloomshore explosion that killed Josephine (and was used to fake Caleb's death). MC entered the LAR arc believing Sylus was responsible for those deaths. Philip's confirmation that he isn't is the key reason MC's hostility toward Sylus softens as quickly as it does.
