The explosion at 502 Sunset Street is officially classified as an accident with 2 deaths. In truth, EVER engineered it to access MC's Aether Core. Josephine — MC's grandmother, former Gaia Research Center Unicorn team member, and the woman who raised Caleb alongside MC — is killed. Caleb is gravely injured; an unknown party rescues him and converts his right arm into a cybernetic limb, establishing him as the Farspace Fleet Colonel. Isaiah, the defected Backtracker who has been the antagonist in Xavier's background since 2033, is named the killer in both routes. The event connects Xavier's EVER arc directly to Caleb's resurrection arc.
