## Description

A glacial lake breach in the Arctic town of Frostmere triggers a flash flood followed by extreme temperature drops to −50°C. Arctic Hunter Jeroen, who has prosthetic legs and a Cryozina heart implant, helps evacuate panicked townspeople to the bell tower. The implant paradoxically keeps him conscious through the agony of hypothermia while accelerating heat loss — he falls from a rescue helicopter during evacuation and dies. Medical professional Greyson must document the casualties including Jeroen's death. Dr. Zayne, off-screen, calls Greyson and encourages them to witness the sunrise for those who didn't survive. A young girl survives by being shielded by the bodies of deceased adults, still clutching a hairclip resembling a "snow velvet" — a rare Arctic flower symbolizing blessing and fortune.
