# Myth 3 — Sacred Chapter: God of Annihilation and the Goddess of Niava

> Zayne is the God of Annihilation in a land beyond the Seven Gates where neither sun nor moon shine; MC is the Goddess of Niava. They meet as adversaries, bind their names on the Stone of Destiny, exchange divine vows, and Zayne ultimately sacrifices his godhood — using the creation stone to resurrect MC — at the cost of his own existence.

## Description

Sacred Chapter is Zayne's third Myth, unlocked by the Diviner's Hymn or Diviner's Stillness memories from the Edge of Continuum event (Sept 25 – Oct 9, 2025). MC is the Goddess of Niava; Zayne is the God of Annihilation who governs destruction. They meet adversarially — MC wishes to protect Niava from an invading force called the Vastrean and asks Zayne to write their names on the Stone of Destiny, binding them as allies; he refuses at first, saying they only just met. MC later falls ill and only Zayne can help; they perform a ritual together that heals her but leaves both distant for a time. They encounter a crystal-covered monster unlike anything from the Vastrean, which releases a protofield; Zayne takes days to recover; MC is unusually strong within this field; they reconcile and defeat it together. Their names are inscribed on the Stone of Destiny and they exchange vows — Zayne vows to fulfil every one of MC's wishes; MC vows always to be by his side. Time passes; Zayne gifts MC the knowledge that builds civilisation: agriculture, medicine, water systems, blacksmithing. In the climax, Zayne sacrifices his godhood to obtain the creation stone and uses it to resurrect MC; as a result, his divine power is depleting and he is dying. The combat mechanic literalises the narrative: the three Divine Shackles are removed by MC one at a time, and the resulting Deity of Niava state represents their merged divine form.
