When the Deepspace Tunnel opens above Linkon City in 2034 and Wanderers pour through, Xavier acts as the masked hunter 'Lumiere' — the first person ever recorded killing a Wanderer. Among those he saves is a roughly seven-year-old MC. The Catastrophe kills thousands; Lumiere appears, halts the immediate threat, and vanishes before anyone can identify him. This act becomes the founding legend of modern Wanderer-hunting culture. Jeremiah's own Earth-born girlfriend Bella is lost in the Catastrophe.
