# World Underneath 10 — Mischief: Luke & Kieran Join Onychinus

> Luke and Kieran (Subject 808), twin EVER test subjects marked for termination, escape in 2046 and attempt to assassinate Sylus twice — first at an orchestra hall, then in an arena gauntlet. Both fail spectacularly. Sylus conscripts them, breaks the Protocore crystals threatening their lives, and they kneel and declare loyalty.

## Description

World Underneath 10 'Mischief' covers Luke and Kieran's origin and induction into Onychinus. They were EVER's Subject 808 — monozygotic sixteen-year-old twins whose experimental side effect was shared senses (vision, pain, sound). Three months from a Protocore-induced transformation that would kill them both, they were flagged for termination. They escaped during an EVER transfer in early spring 2046. Their plan: assassinate Sylus in N109 and 'go out with a bang.' First attempt: an orchestra hall ambush — Sylus hurls them out of the building and calls it boring. Second attempt: an arena gauntlet — also failed. Sylus conscripts them rather than killing them. He breaks the Protocore transformation crystals that were going to kill them. They kneel and declare loyalty. Privately they admit to each other they're still waiting to see someone successfully try to kill him.
