## Description

In the Shadowed Past 'Release' sequence (originally allegorical in the Timelock Key event), Sylus encounters a girl described as 'the once unruly enemy from his memories, now with clipped wings' — a child MC — unconscious inside a lab pod during the Catastrophe. He performs what reads as a killing motion: 'Bang!' He does not follow through. He walks away. The pod opens behind him, giving her a way out. This rescue was initially read by the fandom as allegory; the Death And Rebirth arc (Sylus branch, released May 2025) revisits the ruins of the Gaia Research Center on-screen and raises the direct question of whether Sylus was her rescuer, confirming the rescue as canonical. Sylus never tells MC. She does not remember.
