## Description

LAR 01-03 'Cornered Beast': Sylus forces MC to attempt resonance repeatedly over three days. He taunts her with the pet name 'kitten' and the observation 'I don't like picking on the weak.' He reveals that the earlier scenario in which she appeared to kill him was a staged illusion — a test of her reactions. MC hears the first of her internal whispers around him: 'Devour him… He's yours… It's your power.' These come from her own dormant Evol or Aether Core, not from Sylus. LAR 01-04 'Into Danger': MC wakes to find Luke and Kieran at her bedside — they have been guarding her for four days. She bluffs them with a laser pointer and leaves. The whisper thread continues through 01-05 'Desire' and 01-06 'Resonance and Shackles.'
