# The Childhood Trio — Caleb, MC, and Zayne (2035)

> A year after the Catastrophe, Zayne's family and MC/Caleb's household connect through overlapping grandmother social circles. All three grow up sharing family dinners in Linkon — the emotional core that makes Caleb's 'death' and Zayne's distance-keeping so charged. Both Caleb and Zayne leave for Skyhaven institutions the same year.

## Description

In 2035, the social circles of Josephine (MC's grandmother), Zayne's parents, and Caleb's situation overlap and converge. From shared family dinners in Linkon, a childhood trio forms: Caleb (the older brother figure already living with MC under Josephine's care), MC, and Zayne (the prodigy who enters Skyhaven Medical School at 14 the same year). The trio's regular contact fades as educational paths diverge — Caleb to Skyhaven's Aerospace Academy, Zayne to Skyhaven Medical School — but the emotional foundation those dinners establish is the weight that makes every later arc function. This event is documented in both Zayne's and Caleb's routes and is the only canonical event in which all three characters interact as children.
