The myth story 'A Thought Across' follows the Vermilion General — a warrior whose sacrifice elevated him to godhood. Three centuries after his death, his soul stirs beneath an ancient tree, drawn toward someone whose destiny has remained bound to his across the ages. The story is told in two halves: 'Masked Radiance' depicts General Rafayel returning victorious from battle beneath a golden dusk, bearing news of conquest and a melody offering the MC a moment of peace. 'Masked Dissolution' depicts a later encounter in which MC has taken on a path of hatred in Rafayel's stead; he defies destiny itself to guide her away from it. As autumn wind stirs, they meet again after blades fall silent. Obtaining both 5-star memories unlocks the complete myth story and the companion 'Rafayel: Vermilion Martial God.' The event introduced a new combat mechanic, Martial God's Descent (Vermilion Visage activation), which allows the player to merge souls with Rafayel and channel the Martial Soul for a distinct combat style.
