## Description

MC discovers an apple-patterned envelope tucked in one of Caleb's books the day before graduation and assumes it is a love letter addressed to someone. It is, in fact, the original exam lucky charm she made for him — he has kept it so long the envelope itself is worn out and he's put the charm in a new one. The beat is one of the cleaner expressions of how long he has been holding on to what she's given him. It echoes the apple dog tag necklace motif and foreshadows the Deceptive Solitude beat where a childhood toy gun re-emerges.
