Around 2035, Zayne's family and Caleb/MC's household become acquainted through overlapping grandmotherly social circles. The three grow up as a close trio, sharing family dinners and neighbourhood life in Linkon. Zayne later attends Skyhaven University Medical School; Caleb goes to the Aerospace Academy on the same island. The regular contact between all three fades as their educational paths diverge.
